Be Specific With Your Thanksgiving To God

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are well. I have a meeting shortly but the Lord said, I should take a pause and share this message with you before 10am.

God would like you to have an attitude of gratitude and for you to be specific with your thanksgiving as this would help you to stay joyful and to remember that God is Good. In essence, your faith in God will be renewed when you are specific with your thanksgiving to God.

Let us use Psalm 23 to give thanks to God this morning:

Thank you, Jesus, for meeting my needs (Specify those needs)

Thank you Jesus that I can find rest in you

Thank you Jesus for the peace that I am enjoying

Thank you Jesus for refreshing and replenishing me when I am drained

Thank you Jesus for protecting me and my family

Thank you Jesus for keeping me safe

Thank you Jesus for giving me the courage to make the right decisions at the right time even when the decisions you have asked me to make do not please some people.

Thank you for the grace to obey your words even in little things (specify those little things)

Thank you, Jesus, for always supporting me, even if I am surrounded by issues of life

Thank you Jesus for favouring me in (Specify those things)

I am confident in you, Jesus and I know that my future is secure in you.

Thank you Jesus for filling my life with your blessings (Name those blessings).

In Jesus' name, I have given thanks, Amen.

I hope the above has helped you to give thanks to God.

I love hearing from you in the comment section. Please take a minute to say hello in the comment section.

Have a lovely day!

Sing to God

Hello Everyone,

How is your new week going?

Imagine going to the doctor to discuss fertility and the doctor looked at you and said, "Sing man, Sing woman! Sing!"

The doctor followed this by giving you a prescription and inside the prescription sheet, it says "Sing, keep singing and sing songs of victory about the children you are going to have."

How lovely would that be?

Does this sound strange? Could this ever happen?

This was exactly what the Lord said in Isaiah 54:1. The Word of God says "Sing, barren woman, who has never had a baby. Fill the air with song, you who've never experienced childbirth! You're ending up with far more children than all those childbearing women. God says so!"

The Lord is saying to His children that are waiting on Him for one thing or the other or His children that are experiencing barrenness in something, the Lord is saying that you should exercise your faith by singing songs of victory.

God doesn't want you to wait until you have received the promise from Him before you start singing but rather when the promise looks like it is impossible to come through or you aren't seeing the harvest of your prayers, God is saying "Sing, sing because I said so."

It's probably easy to sing after you have seen the harvest but God wants you to stretch your faith further by singing songs of victory before you experience the harvest.

I love the way the International Children's Bible Version (ICB) explains Hebrews 11:1, it says "Faith means being sure of the things we hope for. And faith means knowing that something is real even if we do not see it."

Will you sing in faith believing that the things that you hope for are certainly coming to pass?

One interesting thing is that God didn't just give this advice to the barren woman but He also gave the same advice to a nation that wanted to experience victory and restoration.

The Word of God says in Zephaniah 3:14-15 "Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout aloud, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! For the Lord will remove his hand of judgment and will disperse the armies of your enemy. And the Lord himself, the King of Israel, will live among you! At last, your troubles will be over, and you will never again fear disaster."

Digest the above Scripture in Zephaniah 3:14-15 again.

God is wanting to reward His children's faith this season through miracles, signs and wonders but He is asking you to sing before you see the miracles.

Remember, Paul and Silas prayed and sang hymns to God in prison before they experienced freedom? It was during their singing that the Lord caused a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken and all the prison doors flew open, and everyone's chains came loose and the Lord saved Paul and Silas, also, one of the jailers gave his life to Christ (Acts 16:25-34).

Will you exercise your faith by singing?

Will you sing songs of victory rather than moaning and grumbling?

Are you a Praise leader or a worshipper? Use your gift to draw God's children to sing songs of victory unto God and watch what God will do in their lives and in your life.

Don't underestimate the power of singing songs of victory whilst you are waiting for your miracle.

Sing! Sing! Sing!

I love hearing from you in the comment section. Please take a minute to say hello in the comment section.

Enjoy the rest of your week!
