Proverbs 31 Believers | Your Royalty In Christ

Hello Readers & Followers,

I am continuing the series about our identity in Christ. If you missed last week's topic (4 Bible Verses about Your Identity In Christ), please click this link to catch up. Today's topic is a message from Jesus to you, reminding you of your royalty in Christ and what royals in Christ have been created to do.

Firstly, let me share some Biblical truths regarding your royalty in Christ. The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:9:

"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light."

As royalty, you have been born into this world to fulfil God's divine purpose for your life. You were born by a King and God gave you a royal identity the moment that you joined His family.

God has made you a king and a priest for you to reign on the earth. Revelation 5:10 says "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth."

You may be aware of a letter that a mother wrote to her son (King Lemuel) in Proverbs 31:1-9. God is saying He was the mother of King Lemuel and as He has made you a King, the letter is also for you. God is saying to you:

O my child, O my child,
Do not waste your life chasing a woman/man that is not your spouse,
This has ruined many royals and you are a royal.

It is not for Kings, O child to drink wine or crave alcohol.
For if you drink, you may forget your responsibilities as a child of God,
And you may cause other Christians to doubt your faith.

Alcohol is for the dying,
and wine to one whose life is bitter.

Let them drink to forget their need
and remember their troubles no more.

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves;
Help people who are in trouble.

Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless,
and see that they get justice.

My strength will go with you and I will lead you right if you are ready to follow me.

You are a royal priesthood!

Prayer

May the Spirit of the Lord - the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord rest on you, in Jesus' name, Amen (Isaiah 11:2).

Have a lovely week!

Yours in Christ,
