Is Jesus the Only Way to God?

Season's Greetings!

I hope you had a lovely Christmas celebration. We are coming to the end of the series on who Jesus is. Last week, we learned about how Jesus is our Saviour. Today, we are going to be learning about Jesus The Way. You may have heard various people talk about the ways to God but what does Jesus (God) actually say about this?

Jesus told the disciples that He was going away and that they knew the way that led to where He was going. However, Thomas was unsure as to where Jesus was going. Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?" Jesus responded by saying: "I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me". Jesus asserted that He is the only path that must be taken to get to the Father (God).

Interestingly, another of Jesus' disciples (Philip) asked Jesus to show them the Father. Jesus replied (John 14:8): "Have I been with all of you for so long a time, and do you not recognise and know me yet, Philip? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say then, show us the Father? " Jesus further asserted in John 10:30 by stating that: "I and the Father are one"

The Bible also confirmed that "In the beginning (before all time) was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God himself. The Word (Christ) became flesh (human) and dwelled among us (John 1:1 &14a)."

Reading the above, it is evident that Jesus has established Himself as the only way to God. So no person or thing can lead you to God except Jesus.

If you have been blessed by this post, feel free to share it with others. Sharing is caring.

The Lord has a lot in store for us in the Year 2021. On the 1st of January 2021, I will be sharing what God has shared with me about the Year 2021.

In the month of January, we will be starting a new series titled fasting and prayer. What does the Word of God say about fasting and prayer? What attitudes should we have toward fasting and prayer? Are there different types of fasting? Is fasting beneficial?

Have a lovely week!

I am praying for God's presence to be with you today.

See you on 1st January 2021
